After a boarding school education in Surrey, Ruth went to London University (Kings College) and gained an LLB in 1974. Solicitors’ finals followed and then two years articles with Ernest Long & Co in London and qualification as a Solicitor in 1977. She married in the same year and moved with her husband Michael to Northamptonshire. Since then she has worked with a number of Northampton firms moving to Max Engel in January 2002. Ruth and Michael have two grown up daughters and a young grandson.

Her main areas of practice are:

(a) Conveyancing – Residential and Commercial, Leasehold and Freehold, acting for private clients and for Mortgage Lenders. Dealing with Transfers of Equity, Matrimonial Transfers, Transfers following Bankruptcy, Equity Releases and Rights of Way etc

(b) Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney including applications to the Court of Protection for appointment of a Receiver where the client is unable personally to appoint an Attorney to act.
